[mico-devel] Searching a notifiaction / subscriber tutorial

Hi,

 

I am just getting started using mico and unfortunately facing some
frustrating beginner problems. I am trying to setup a simple client server
Communication. The client offers some callbacks, which it registers at the
Server. There are plenty tutorials on this, but none of them explains the
following:

 

1.	Does the client need a POA?
2.	Does the client orb needs to run() ?
3.	Do I need to start any services of the orb for this notification /
subscriber mechanism?

 

I've created a callback object on the client and sent it to the server. The
server invokes a method from that callbackobject. But the message never
reaches the client. So I was wondering, what the client needs to accept
messages from the server.

 

Thanks for any help. I was looking for a solution on the internet for a
week. So I hope this beginner problem might be solved here.
